Yes, he seemed to be a kinder, gentler Tom Green. I liked how he talked to Al after they caressed each other's hair. Then he patted his head, and said "Thanks for coming." hehe!

I think Tom has really matured and knew that he had to do this interview "right"...no more talking about the parody he wrote to Eat It when he was in 8th grade (or whenever it was )...I think some of the things he said to Al in the beginning were the sweetest, especially the "No one in the modern era has successfully done what you do." And Al being the humble guy he is, kept trying to play it off and made references to his influences before FINALLY graciously accepting the compliment...he is the sweetest, most humble celebrity I know. :inlove:

Oh yeah! Not to mention the most limber! I'm not sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing, but I have never seen so much of a man's derriere in my life!

Anyone who doesn't like Al should be completely banned from the planet at not being human any more.

Yeah, Al was really getting into Tom's hair. It literally made me laugh out loud.

I'm finally getting back into the process of converting my massive collection of Weird Al VHS tapes to DVD, and either I have a very poor memory, or there was a Tom Green Show appearance that I'm missing. I have the appearance where he calls a member of the audience (who barely looks like him) Weird Al, and another appearance where Al gets interviewed through a tin can, but I distinctly remember another interview where Al said something about ET, and Tom said "please don't talk about that" - I remember I was talking to one of my friends online and he was also watching and I had to explain that Tom said that because he used to be married to Drew Barrymore - but this exchange wasn't on either interview. Anybody know what I'm talking about, and can you identify when this was?

NOTE TO MODS - I meant to post this in Media Al, but I can't figure out how to move or delete it. Somebody please take care of that :lookaround:

There was this. Don't know if that's what you're looking for or not.

No, Tom had a brief talk show on MTV. I have that one on tape as well. Here I thought when Tom said not to mention mention ET *to the guest following Al*, he meant Entertainment Tonight. The Drew Barrymore reference makes much more sense now. That's also the same appearance where Al talks to Tom through a tin can, and describes the LASIK surgery process.

Man, The Tom Green Show really went downhill once they went to the "late night" formula.

I did like the internet show, though. I don't know if it's still going, but Al's appearance on that show was the best. Much better than on the MTV show.

I just watched the whole hour of it, and it wasn't that bad. A whole hour of uninterrupted Al is great! I didn't like how Tom was mean to the callers. Some had good questions like the Compleat Al remake but he just shut them down. It was a good interview and Al was just hilarious. I loved when he rubbed the CD on himself (Which I did just for fun after watching him) and the little exercise with the foot behind his leg. I loved how he was so furious about the video leak and how Tom told the guy that he ruined Al being curled up in a ball. It was a great interview to add to my collection.

But this...now that is pure gold.
