Wow Ambra, that is so cool! Not only did you get sung to but waved at and you got to touch his hand. You must have been really excited.
Will you get to see him again, this tour? You said "so far"....... hey, if there is a next time maybe you will get to meet him!

Unfortunately, he's not going to be near enough to VA for me to see him again this leg of the tour. I've got my fingers crossed that since he's done two legs of all his more recent tours, that he'll do another one next summer and maybe there'll be more dates closer to me then. I'm also in the process of looking for a better paying job than Wal-Mart so hopefully, I'll have more money and can go to more concerts next summer, if the new job allows me the time off to go. I said before I feel like God is working me up to actually meeting him so the excitement won't make my head explode! He walked up the aisle about five feet from me at the first concert, I got sung to by him as he was on his hands and knees less than three feet from me at the second, and I touched his fingertips at the third so maybe, just maybe that means the fourth time will be the charm!Braider @ Sep 10 2007, 09:58 AM wrote:

Wow, I actually haven't posted in this thread for years apparently. I didn't think it'd been that long.
Once was during the last tour at the OC Fair that Al was chasing a woman who was trying to go to the restroom or get more beer or something. It was during WBUL and Al started chasing her, singing to her. It was so funny.
Also singing to the sign language interpreter during WBUL last tour at OC.
This tour, the Ben Folds thing at Summerfest and then Close to You was just fantastic. Plus, the technical difficulties song. That was fantastic.
Radio, Radio at the OC Fair this year with W&N in normal gear later on was just great.
Al also fumbling the microphone in Des Moines was nice.
Any meet and greets are memorable with any band member. I just loved it all.

Whenever "Fun Zone" starts playing, it always makes me smile. Also, the lights went out at the exact time I predicted, right at the bass/drum breakdown. When I saw the Beacon concert at 9.20.07, I made a big gesture with my hands predicting all that was going to happen, and it did. And I'm like "WHOA!" I guess I must've had the magic touch.
They did a lot of things that I predicted would happen, like I knew they were going to play "Weasel Stomping Day" on the screens during a costume change. I was glad they did.
I also predicted during "Albuquerque" when they were going through all those donuts (I like that the audience, including myself, all said "No we're out of _____" in unison in response to his questions), he was going to say "boysenberry donuts," because he had already said strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, and cranberry (MAYBE in that order). I thought "He's gonna say boysenberry, he is SO gonna say boysenberry, he is SO-- AW, he said it!" Inside I was going nuts because he said it, but outside I was yelling along "NO WE'RE OUT OF BOYSENBERRY DONUTS!" with the audience.
Anyway, speaking of going off on tangent, my other favorite moments are when they do the Yoda Chant. It's so hilarious when they do all that really tough vocal stuff with the motions completely in sync. It gives you the feeling that they are all one person. That's real funny.

It's so hard to choose! I guess my all time favorite was at the Keswick Theatre during the Poodle Hat Tour. Al jumped off the stage and sat on my lap, put his forehead on mine, sang to me and then wrapped a scarf around my neck. I thought my daughter was going to fall out of her chair she was laughing so hard.
A close second... Serge was sitting a few seats away from me and captured this one. Thanks again, Serge!!! At the Beacon (2007) the crowd remained standing for Albuquerque and Al leaned down to tell me about his dear, sweet mother...

Even without the personal attention, my favorite moments are when everyone in the crowd is on their feet and you can feel the energy. The Beacon, PNC, Keswick... those were amazing shows!!

Mine had to be when he was singing Albuquerque in Benton Harbor, and he was sooo close to the edge of the stage I leaned over to my friend, and I said.. dude, he's gonna like fall off the stage if he isn't careful... next thing I know, Al is at my feet writhing around with 1 dozen starving crazed weasels on his face.
I couldn't stop laughing
I've never laughed so hard in my life.
That was awesome.
Oh yes, and of course, at the end of the show in Davenport when he gave me the peace sign and winked at me.

Mine would have to be sitting in the second row at the Greek show. Not only did it provide a fantastic view of the band and Al's facial expressions, but Al posed for my camera in IAATP, glanced towards me in WBUL, and I got hit with the Nirvana water! It was an fantastic night I'll never forget, especially when I met him backstage, got an autograph, a picture, and a hug!
