Deary me! Why haven't I seen this thread before?
The first night of the Orange County fair...

Was that on the 22nd? Did we meet? I'm not sure who's who by the screen names.

Anyway, I just stopped blathering long enough to just go in for the hug without warning or asking. He took it like a gentleman. and then I continued ... blathering.
By the way I got my feel of the locks at that point... :lookaround: (did that sound bad or is it just me? :S
yes they are amazingly soft...
Okay - so I sez "my son was born on your birthday!" and he just looks at me and sez, "you have a 45 year old son?" I freeze and roll my eyes around and then he laughs and sez, "i get it" and finishes signing my shirt.

I'm just nosey but how?...
When I got to talk to him on the phone..

I have more but gotta go...JulieJ

Man, these stories are halarious. I can't tell you how much pleasure I get from reading other's embarressing experiences. :P

I don't really have an embarressing story...well...it's kind of embarresing to me. At the first concert I went to (well, the only concert I went to), Al came out into the audience for the first time. I remember he looked right at me, and I didn't know what else to do, so my first impulse was to wave like a crazed fangirl...and I did. xD He just walked on past me. Then when he came up to me during WBUL I just laughed like a little moron.

And then there's when I got him to sign my stuff, I didn't know what to say to him really. :P But that wasn't that bad.....

God knows what I'd do if I saw him on the street.

These are good stories everyone.

ILY, how did you call Al or did he call you? I'm just curious.

Don't you people read the concert reviews?

Well I don't have time to read every single one of them. But thanks!

Sorry about the stupid question ILY, I know now.

For me, the concert reviews are a priority. They're always entertaining reads and they often link to pictures.

Yeah right! I'd pee myself! Although I did get quite a shock when he first spoke. I didn't know Tasha was going to give him the phone! Ahh!

Julie, I'm sure we met! I *think* I remember you...umm...I'm pretty bad too with the screen names/real names thing. Hehe. I'll post a picture or somethin'. :)

Christina - I do remember! (alzhiemers hasn't got me yet - of course it helps if I look at your website :P ) I was the newcomer who talked CindyBob's ear off and sat next to Cid and Kev.
I think I even hugged you before I left... of course I hugged everybody...AIH
