Well, unlikely but not impossible. The Hawaii pet-quarantine regulations would be a large headache for people going back and forth as often as the Yankovics do. They may have decided that between leaving Bambu alone in California for significant portions of the year, putting him into quarantine frequently, or finding him another family, re-homing was the best choice. Or, alternatively, the interviewer forgot to give Al the Veritaserum, and so he was able to keep a few details of his life to himself.

Has this one ever been posted? It looks to be from 2007?

I don't know if it's been posted before, but that had a cool vibe to it. They were having a real conversation. Best of all, no annoying Coolio questions! ;)

Here is a nice retrospect on the Grammy website for forgotten Grammy winning videos. I certainly have not forgotten this one

What made you think it was 2007?

Maybe because to the left of the video it says "Interviewed by Speedbump 2007"?

Yup, that's it! I have no actual idea as to when the interview occurred.

And of course he spelled "philately" right. I know this because I'm an orthography enthusiast.

According to this Zap2It blurb, Al is indeed starting work on album 14!
