No, he handed it right back to Al. Jon's trustworthy that way.

I guess that explains why Al handed him the phone in the first place

Interesting thread to come across at 3:30 am...

I moved from the Philadelphia area to Los Angeles just under five years ago, and within a week there was a call for extras for the new Weird Al video. I responded and sent in my picture, and then I got a call back from a casting director who gave me the date, time, and place. It was at this production office in Santa Monica where I first met Al, my hero since the age of 9. He came up to me and said, "Jon, right?" I assume he got my name off a casting sheet or something, but I have met him several times since then - at concerts, signings, and public events - and he has always remembered my name. I'm well aware that he has this gift to remember so many of his fans by name, but it's still flattering every time he does it. My professional career has lead me to interact with many celebrities and many of them have been down to earth, but none of them are so incredibly kind as Al.

Here's the photo of me with Al in the video, with apologies to the two other guys I hastily clone-tooled out:

Anyway, I'm glad Al is giving others the chance to be in the video. Obviously, I would have loved to be in this one as well (who on this forum wouldn't?), but I think it's great that so many others will have the chance. Looking forward to hearing about all of your experiences as paparazzi. Not to say I have high expectations for your stories, but I did win my first WOWAY Award for Best Post recounting my day on the set. (T)

Your lucky, that pic is wicked! Im jealous. I got pics of me and Ronnie James Dio, Toni Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Dio is dead now so thats super rare! And Im glad I got some photos with Black Sabbath, they are as legendary as it gets.
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

I assume you're the one on the bottom? :P

Anyway, it's nice to hear about Al's shoes today. An update on the video would have been cool, too.

@alyankovic
4-year-olds are precious, but you really shouldn't hire them to design your company logo. http://twitpic.com/4v7dxi" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
HAHA, I've seen that sign. I took a picture of it, too. My sister and I were trying to figure out what... is... that...??
