The outlook for Al-Tv is not looking to good. But he seems to definatly be in talks with Mtv/VH1 besause he said he was not alowed to say much about it. But if its going to be that short and that much trouble he should just do what Tom Green said when Al was on his show and do it on the internet. That would probably get a lot more views, i dont know if he would have to get permission for interviews still but he could do other vaious things like he used to.
But the interview was real good. I always like interviewers who do research beforehand and are very prepared and ask thought out, harder questions than what he usually gets.

Yeah, I really do not understand why he can't just do it online rather than through a network. Surely there are any number of online distributors - Funny or Die, etc - that would be glad to host the video.

Well he has to get the interview clearances from somewhere. I think thats why it was so easy to do with VH1 and MTV. Im actually surprised Al hasnt had more things online. Maybe his YouTube videos were testing the waters. Probably not, but its a possibility

Yeah, I think it is definitely on VH1 to get the interview clearances. I'm guessing from the sound of it, their processes of interviews have changed...so, that challenges permission.
I would be happy with a longer version of Al-TV without interviews on the internet. I'm sure that Al could develop comedy segments that would be just as funny as the interviews.

Guess VH1 is no longer intrested in shows unless its a countdown, a show about how people cant find or keep relationships or if some D-list celebs have drug problems

It definitely seems like it. It's pretty sad what's happened to the VH1/MTV's.

I agree Jeremy, and you're about a decade younger than me, so you wouldn't even know MTV when it was really good. Back in my day..... I liked the real world and road rules, but the channel is just garbage now. To the point of not even acknowledging their own anniversary. The whole channel was quirky back in the 80's and Al fit that scene perfectly

That was great. It seems like once or twice in every interview/album marketing cycle we get an interview by a huge fan with a thing for detail and above average-curiosity, and then we get something interesting. Woot!

Great interview. Thanks for the link. This was like having Al on Meet The Press. Very well researched.
