Since Kid Rock's "Bawitdaba" (sp?)--released before "Running With Scissors"--was included in "Angry White Boy Polka", I doubt "Pumped Up Kicks" would be too old to be included in the album 14 polka.

Guys, Lisa Popeil recorded w/Al for the new album today. I'd like to think that Al recorded his vocals for new songs too while he was there, but seeing as he didn't post a "going back into the studio tweet" I'm guessing he probably didn't.

I bring it up in the speculation thread because this may mean we get another female parody on this album. The last parody to have female backing vocals was "Perform This Way".

We can infer that this is a parody because the originals were recorded long enough ago that they're probably already mixed and mastered so Al wouldn't necessarily be putting more work into them.

This begs the question of what big female artist could Al be working on a parody for right now? After combing through the Billboard hot 100 charts, my best guesses would have to be either Lorde (for "Royals" or "Team") or Shakira and Rhianna (for "Stay" or "Can't Remember To Forget You"). Are there any male artists w/big hits right now that have female vocals on them that I am missing?

I can't think of anything that's a huge hit right now, but Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker had female backing vocals. It was a fairly big country hit. I'm sure there must be others out there as well.

Your timeline would be a bit more useful if it revealed what some of the spoilers were - there are multiple instances where a date is marked and it basically just says "three spoilers were revealed today"........yeah..

Does Al have to tell everyone every time he goes into the studio through twitter? He doesn't tweet every time he goes to the bathroom or the grocery store, why should he do it with going into the studio.

Also aren't pretty much all the songs you mentioned entirely sang by females? Al's covered female songs and backed them with male vocals before. It's probably a very different kind of song. Duet? "Say Something?" Who knows I don't but neither do u
There's also Timber with Pitbull and Ke$ha (Kesha now?) It is probably not a Lorde song as she is female thus most of her songs only have female vocals. Same with thr others you mentioned, really.

Why does it have to be a parody? Lisa was on "Mr. Popeil" which I don't think is a parody but idk I'm too young maybe it is I forget

Also, what???????????

That is all

Yeah this topic is pretty useless in its current state but I'll give Killingsworth a chance to fix that

Let's all agree to stop feeding this troll. Maybe he will go away.

No one could possibly be so stupid to actually believe all of the things he posts, so he's gotta just be smurfin' with us.

He just told you, didn't he? The six originals were finished a long time ago, and there have never been female supporting vocals on a polka, to my memory.

Here, yankochick has a point, though.

I think one thing that's safe to say is that if Al wanted to parody "Counting Stars" by OneRepublic, he would have recorded it by now, so I have no problem giving a good parody idea for it, one I thought of just today - "Counting Cards." Would be cool.
