That would be "Musical Mike" Kieffer and his musical hands. :)

So does "Musical Mike" do weddings and bar mitzvahs? Does he play those musical hands for a living, or does he have a more boring job? Does anyone know him?

Enquiring minds like mine wanna know.

Well, Scotti- You're in luck. I just happen to have found a spotlight article on him in the November/December 1995 issue of the Midnight Star.....so, as of that time.....

His "real" job...

"I lead two professional lives: By day, I work as an electrical engineer and software designer for Hughes Aircraft, and in my spare time, I remaster old recordings for CD reissues and do music research."

There ya have it.

But he's really a super hero by night, right??

I guess the fast-paced life of an electrician will have to do...

Hopefully he's not an exotic dancer...

If you want to search for subtle things and then count them, look for appearances by sandwiches on the Video Library. Mostly in the first few videos, a very similar sandwich appears. I haven't watched it in a while, but I think the number is somewhere from four to six.

Again, not a video thing, but another subtle thing I just noticed over at weirdal.com

When you go to the tour dates archives and click on a pre-TWS tour for more information, the image in the upper right hand corner is of the "old look" band -- Al with mustache and glasses, Jim with long hair -- and if you click on TWS or PHT, it's an image of the "new look" band. Pretty neat!

Of course, since Rubén joined in 1991, the pre-OTDE tours shouldn't include him (or Jim's long hair) but, hey, I thought it was neat anyway.

It is a nice touch. I hadn't noticed before that they included the new look ones, I had only noticed the old school pic and thought it was an odd choice. But of course, now it makes perfect sense.

I like that they included everyone. Nice touch.

Nice touch. I haven't noticed that recently, which is odd.

Though, it didn't always do that. During TWS and for a while afterwards, it would have the old Al and band pic up in the corner. That must be recent. Recent used in a wide sense, of course, going with months and 1 or 2 years.
