Should I edit my last post?, lol....This is my review, so I think I'll make it another post...
I got over to the Star Plaza about an hour before showtime. They opened the doors at 7, then the doors to the theatre at 7:30. I did some workouts, running up and down steps..and then played "Make It Through People Land", which is a game to see who can hit the fewest people walking through the merch area where everyone conglomerates. I then got seated and waited for the show to begin...
The show was very good tonight, as well....no technical problems. A couple notable things were during Saga Begins, they had about every member of the Star Wars family there...He held out the no in complicated song a little longer than usual...He came by me during Lovr and sang to the very nice two girls to the next of me, and then did the chair dance thing right across the aisle from me, so two nights in a row I have I had good close Lovr spots...I guess that's about it...
Went outside after the show, and got my picture taken with a stormtrooper and then met Steve Jay after waiting around for awhile for a meet-n'-greet with Al, as far as I know he didn't sign. A manager lady said that he left, which I didn't believe...but, then one of the crew guys that I know, came down and said that he had left...So, I actually did leave...might get to more on that later.

The show was great. I didn't notice any technical problems (other than some slight feedback issues) or any mishaps at all whatsoever. I went with two of my friends who have never seen Al before. They LOVED it. After the show, one of them was constantly repeating "That was awesome". It reminded me of my reaction after my first Weird Al concert. My mom came with me as well, she also loved it, but she, like me had seen Al live before. But that didn't take away how great the show was.
During Albuquerque, a lot of fans got up and rushed towards the stage. It was really cool.
Before the show, I met one of Jim's friends who was very nice and very friendly. We talked for awhile and was able to get backstage after the show for the first time ever. Yay!
I'll post more and share some pictures a little later. But this show has certainly gotten me pumped for my next show in Rockford, IL!

If anyone has any shots of the girls getting sang to in the celebrity circle seating, let me know, please. My friend got sang to right next to me and I couldn't get a pic in time!

Thanks for the review Jeremy! It's making even more excited for Tuesday's show! I guess I'll see you there! Just a heads up if you're there early--The forecast is calling for possible thunderstorms and rain and I'm not sure if there's anywhere to take shelter near the theater entrance. At least the show is inside this time around! I'm going to get there around 2pm so I can try to find the buses, which I'm thinking may be in or near the parking garage behind the theater.
Glad you had a great time Alexis! I'm bringing my mom with me but she's never been to an Al show. I'm not sure how she's going to react.

Were you talking to Dave Williams, perhaps? He seems like he's a pretty cool guy with a great sense of humor.WEIRDALexis279 @ Jul 6 2008, 04:12 PM wrote:

I had the honor of meeting Alexis, her Mom and friends at the show. It was a really good time and a very good show. Everything just went right. The band and crew were pleased with it as well.

Star plaza rocks for letting me use my DSLR, I haven't reviewed my pictures yet, but as long as there wasn't a flash, they didn't care what kind of camera you used!
As for the Seats at star plaza, I really didn't appreciate having the corner of the stage right in my face...for that reason, I had no idea where Jon was...and I could BARELY see Ruben, and Jim. Steve I think got some love from my camera and there were a few good pictures of Al.. I felt like I was sitting on the floor. Honestly.
I am going to drop an email to Star Plaza, the row behind me (where my friends were sitting) they were all eating their knees. I don't remember the seating in the Gold Circle this bad before..what did they do add rows so they could fit more people?? Please..
I was really surprised that the balcony wasn't even filled. I remember years ago, the place was filled. Disappointing.
I'm glad we didn't stick around to see if there was a meet n greet, as I was ready to die anyhow.. but I see he didn't do one anyhow..
I need to go through my pictures..one of these days I suppose.

Kaffy-
I support your thinking that they have added more seats to that area. Very sad! The whole VIP experience was kind of a bummer. I also noticed that the balcony wasn't very full and the show at the Toledo Zoo didn't seem as well attended either. What's up with people?????
I hope you are feeling better, Kaffy!
