Thankful for Weird Al

He who's tired of Weird Al is tired of life.

I found this in a textbook, but just let somebody try to convince me that it's off-topic for a Weird Al forum! :onfire:

QUOTE
Laughter releases the capacity to laugh at oneself, at one's self-deception, and at the absurdity of the world. It also increases the capacity to laugh with others. There is a universal human urge to laugh. It activates the chemistry for the will to live, reflects insight, attracts friends, breaks tension in work and social situations, and increases the capacity to fight against disease.

OE, could you tell me who that quote is from? I would like to use it in my report, and woul dhave to give credit to the person who came up with it.

How fast do you need the info? It's from a psychology text I was using two years ago, and I'm not sure offhand where the darn book is stored.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

That is so true. I was a very pessimistic person before Al, very silent, and had that, "Go away!" vibe. Ever since Al, I'm a more cheerful person. I'm easier to get along with.

No negative side effects from Al.

On the contrary, his songs and videos poke fun at obesity, natural illnesses, and openly encourage murder.

Well, yeah, his songs do deal with those subjects, but I don't think that's what CB meant. It's more of a release to hear the songs. You still laugh at them. That's a positive side effect, no?
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I disagree. I wouldn't think that Al would have a negative influence on anyone.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

I don't think he does either. I mean to me he's a good positive role model. But that's just my opinion.

People can be offended if you walk by them singing some of the words of Fat. Some of his songs just aren't politically correct.
