It was a great show next to a lovely lake! :)

First things first though: Happy Father's Day to Al, Steve and all the guys!

Thank you all for a wonderful show! :)

Grant did a great job, too! The audience really seemed to enjoy his performance. It was so awesome and generous of Al to give Grant the opportunity!

I'll post more tomorrow--it's taking me waaaay too long to write this out and post tonight- hehe

Steve's such a great dad; it's a pleasure just watching him and his sons together.
And Al of course gets props for keeping Nina out of the magazines and hustling his much-admired butt back to LA as often as possible to be with Suzanne and Nina.

As for the rest of the guys, um...

I'm sure their fathers are very proud of them. :)

True :)

*nods head in agreement*

I suppose to me its a day to celebrate those men who make a difference in our lives, not just our fathers. Sometimes they're uncles, brothers, teachers, etc. Men who inspire, mentor, support or encourage in countless ways. So I hope all the guys had a great day :)

Ooops :lookaround: Sorry to get off topic *goes back to review writing* (By the time I finish, I'll probably end up with one sentence, something like "it was great and I had a fun time" :S )

Al's #27 Fan, just looked at your pics. Wonderful! I want that bowling-themed shirt he wore for the encore. Looking at all these pics is really getting me geared up for my show on July 5th. Only 17 more days!!

:whoot:

I climbed back up that steep hill early the next morning looking for stray Yanko-bucks, and they had really cleaned up the place overnight! I did manage to find ONE way back under the bleachers, but man there was some gross stuff under there.

But still, it was worth it!

Wow.

Yeah, that was my favorite Al show EVER!

Thanks to all of you who were there to help me get through it. :)

I'll write up a big review (hopefully) today about my concert experience, but it was awesome!

Close But No Cigar live = AWESOME!

I promise I'll stop thinking about that "contractual obligations" line of bull soon, but it did occur to me that those security guys could have tried something less off-putting and probably closer to the truth: "It takes a long time to get these big tour buses out of Konocti on those winding roads, and Al wants to be in Los Angeles for Father's Day."

I knew as soon as it was repeated that it wasn't something that Al would have said. When it comes to fans, Al seems to have a black belt in tackfulness, so it was obvious to most of us that the security guard was putting his own spin on the situation.

I say, let's postpone that part for another half-century or so, hey?
