Somebody woke up on the "buff" side of the bed.

Not saying it was WBLG27 though.

Thanks.

I'm actually glad no one is taking this seriously, cause I think it's a lame idea for a Taylor Hicks parody. I was very skeptical of the whole thing myself... so im glad no ones shooting the messenger

cody @ Aug 12 2006, 12:11 AM wrote: but the difference with those songs are that those artists are generally the ones associated with them. When most people think "Takin it to the streets" they don't think of a the guy on american idol singing it.

In fact, I bet a ton of people don't even know Hicks recorded a cover of that song. I never did (probably because I've never watched american idol).
Urgh... I'm more familiar with the originals of "I Think We're Alone Now" & "Mony Mony" by Tommy James & The Shondells (& I'm not even old enough to!).

As for Hicks, I've never watched American Idol & had no idea who he was or that that's him in those annoyingly over-played Ford commercials until it was somehow brought up at work.

Once again, I'm not backing up this song, but there is a line in the spoiler timeline mentioning the song "Crazy Cow Therapist." Did I miss some kind of discussion about this topic?

Edit: Nevermind, I have found that topic.

Hmm...Taylor Hicks...I can't say I'm exactly excited about this choice in particular...I hadn't even heard his name before tonight, but that's probably because I've never seen American Idol.

 To whoever made the Hicks parody, nice try. But it's known for a fact that the "Crazy Cow Therapist" thing was a hoax.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Crazy Cow Therapist
Artist: "Weird Al" Yankovic
Album: Straight Outta Lynwood (2006)

(Parody of 'Do I Make You Proud?')

I've never been
Your average therapist
Not very good
With women or men
But on the farm
I help the animals

The call came in
At a quarter after two
The herd's gone nuts
We don't know what to do
Each one of these
Cows are crazy
And you're our only hope now

This is what they called me for
But I am havin' some doubt
That I can help these cows
I'm the only one they've got now
Will try every Freudian technique out
To try to help these cows!

They won't stand still,
Respect they do not show
Just an udder day,
Using everything I know
Try to pick their brains
They won't respond to me
Seems they're too slow,
For advanced psychology

This is what they called me for
But they've got me wondering how
That I can help these cows?
Trying every trick in the book now
Well I'll do almost anything
Just to help these cows

Every cow just needs to calm down
Every cow needs to be drugged, to be drugged!

Gather all the cows around
Cause I've got the solution now
I can help these, I can help these cows!

This is what I came here for
Get my prescription pad out now
So I can help these cows
Each one of them gets a pill
Wellbutrin should make them chill
I'm going to drug these cows

This is what they called me for
And everyone can sleep better now
Since I've helped these cows
Smarter than I've ever been
Never been afraid of selling out
Just to help the cows

This why I come around
No one can question me now
Because I helped them
Yes I cured those cows.

Like I said... Take this with a grain of salt. I though "Crazy Cow Therapist" was like a long-lost Al rarity or something like that. I don't think the words fit well with those in the song. What do you guys think?
The only way this song would make any sense is if it had something to do with that new movie coming out, Barnyard Animals. I doubt that though. I also find it hard to believe Al would right a song about Crazy Cows and not be able to work in a joke about Mad Cow Disease.
