Gone already? I can't seem to find "you're pitiful" or "hit me with a rock",
I hear that both have made it to weirdal.com.... yesterday....
on a day which I managed NOT to be looking that way. D'oh!!!!

I sure hope all you people who think this song will not be on the new cd are wrong. It's so great! I'm going along with what Diva and others said, comparing it to how Al previewed PATLC at the OC Fair almost a year before PH came out. He also did that with Headline News. He played it in concert during the OTDE tour. I'd be sad if this song wasn't on ALbum 12.
The song is still available for download, tessaigapants. The link is right on the home page.

Thank you. I had to "flush my cache" or "refresh the page"
or some browser junk like that.
I used my free ball peen hammer to do the trick.

OK, now I can officially say that that song is great.
Thanks for posting it, Jon, and great work as always to Al and TBITB.

One of the many things that I really appreciate about Al is that while his voice is always unmistakable (you know it's "Weird Al" when you hear a "Weird Al" song ... no other voice in the business quite like his), he is still able to wrap his vocal chops around the emotion, intent, and style of the original artist when he does a parody.
Yeah, this new song is definitely Al ... you can tell. But, if I wasn't paying close attention to the words, shoot, I could quite easily mistake it for the original.
That takes, in my opinion, pure genious ... and part of the reason I am a fan.
As for the song itself, it's great. And the long wait between "New Al" probably makes it that much better.
Of course, it makes me long for the new album even more ... but hearing it also reminds me that patience is a virtue (genius can take a while).

Poor weirdal.com. Bogged by hoardes of drooling pitiful fans
downloading a new Al song.
I hope it serves a purpose for "the suits".
We love Al! Support him as we do!
If such isn't the case, why not use bittorrent?

It wouldn't be Al in the video, it would be some poor slob Al is singing to.
This would be great fodder for an animated video
That's true, if he decided to go that direction.
In the original video, they show James Blunt singing, and removing two shirts until he's shirtless, sitting on the ground by the ocean. I could go for a parody video of that!
