Driew great review and great pictures thanks for sharing! Sorry to hear about the technical difficulties that you had but it made for an interesting concert. That's so cool that you got to meet Al. Hopefully someday I'll get to meet him.

You guys got a lot of solos. Wow. I'm sure Al and the guys are tired of technical difficulties. There were a lot of them at OC.

Yeah. But all we need (as Helen has said) are those five people and we're fine. But during P@TLC Al sang a note and then shook his head as to say "Wow, this is really bad!" Poor Al! Jim also looked a little frustrated with the problems during the beginning. I think everyone after the show went and got drinks. I know Ruben did. Al just had some Apple juice. :P

That is cool about Al's accordion shirt Patti and CindyBob! Any chance I could see a picture of that?

Well, he wore it on Rock the House. :) Bobbi has a page up for that here.

At Sacramento, Al threw a "bass solo" to Steve while he went off-stage to fix something. (Steve proceeded to play a few chords with... his teeth, then did it again, then played behind his head.)

I'm sure it is frustrating for them, but I don't think the fans are that way. I can't imagine "That show would have been lots of fun, but Al was a quarter tone off during AWBP and it just ruined my whole night!" We're just there to have fun with Al and the guys, meet friends and make new friends. Ain't nobody gonna stop us from doin' dat.

Al did the same thing too. Al said a Bass solo!!!!!!!! And Steve played one note. But during like solo song at the end of Fat Steve was playing behind his head and with his teeth. Very cool!

And you are correct, I never once thought the show was disappointing because of the problems. Although I did miss Horoscope. :(

You'll be thrilled to know he wore it again after Portland. I guess the laundry didn't go out...

So, there's not much that I can add to Driew's review. Except of course a few random thoughts and observations.

As Driew mentioned, the gremlins were out in force. Man where there a ton of tech problems. During the Polka Medley, during the fingersnap part, Al turned his back and walked away from the mic. I'm not sure why or what he was doing, perhaps out of frustration? Then he came back to the mic and picked up where he left off, but without all the fun faces and hip gyrations. <_<

But the show must go on, and go on it did. The hardest working band in show business managed to still pull off a great show despite the many setbacks.

I did get quite a few signatures, but I forgot to get the clipboard from Driew so there are no sigs from Eugene. Sorry, CD. I blame Al. He got me all AIH'ed and all good intentions for Eugene went right out the window!

Thanks Driew for taking that pic. I had no idea you got one. And I'm glad to see your dad had the presence of mind to get your picture with Al. I had intended to try to get some pics with you too. Again, I blame Al. :inlove:

When I talked to Al, I asked him if he'd had a chance to see the Calendar, and he said that he had and he thought it was very cool and that I did a great job. :D

Then he apologized to me for the show. I told him that I had had a wonderful evening and the show was great despite the challenges. He thanked me and told me I was sweet. :inlove:

It was a wonderful evening.
