Walmart has both the DVD and Blu-ray available for pre-order. $13.96 for the DVD, $14.96 for the Blu-ray (as of now, those prices could obviously change).

Official word from Comedy Central - The concert special will air on October 1st:
Weird Al Teams Up With Comedy Central
It also says they will be premiering "Polka Face", and that initially, it will be available online at a date yet to be determined. Cool!

Nice find, Patti! I really hope Comedy Central does a lot of promotion on this. It could end up being very successful.

It sounds like that's what they want to do. They're tying airing the special in with promoting the release of the Live dvd/Blu-Ray/DVO. The fact that they're already announcing this on twitter means to me that ads on CC will soon follow, (I hope).
Tweetdeck is my friend. I have many columns, including one for Al's timeline, which is how I found out about this. (several others do this as well.) Apparently, Comedy Central has a separate twitter account for PR.

Nice to see it actually will be on TV! I pre-ordered the DVD at Walmart and they deem it "possibly mature" and you had to be 17 to buy it

Nice to have confirmation on when the special will air. It's about what I figured, though. I remember thinking when the September 1 date was out there and once we had confirmation on an October 4 release date for the DVD, that it would most likely be October 1. That was when I remembered Dave, non-Elvis type, saying that with it being Comedy Central that the DVD would be released the same week.
Anyway, I'm going to miss the original airing of this because I'm going to be at an Al show that night in Atlanta, GA. Hopefully it will replay later in the night, or have another numerous replays.
