So are people going to bitch and complain about how much cdbaby sucks now?
If not, then why was there so much smurfing complaining about iTunes?
There's no real difference between this and that.

What? Why wouldn't there be any difference? Of course we're going to complain!! But so far they seemed to respond promptly and assure us that they're working on it.
Just remember that my beef with iTunes was about the lack of promotion,
not the technical errors. Like I said, I used to work as a Quality Assurance Analyst on a huuuuge website and I can tell you firsthand that there's no such a thing like a giant "upload" button.
And CDBaby is a
much, much smaller website than Apple, and probably not used to dealing with deranged Al fans

Just got a call from CD Baby and there is a delay on the MP3 being available (Couldn't they check BEFORE posting the BLOODY link

). So we are to keep checking periodically. They are WORKING on it......

This is the same thing that happened with iTunes, and then everyone bashed iTunes, and saying retarded stuff.
Is anyone mad at CdBaby? If not, then stop being mad at iTunes for the exact thing that happened there.
"iTunes purchases will not work on other personal music devices."

Then buy from Rhapsody or Amazon.com or somewhere else.
The purpose of iTunes is to be a complete, and convenient music tool for the iPod. It's a very efficient "package". If you "break" the package, then of course you're asking for trouble.
and iTunes Plus songs (which are becoming the norm now) are DRM free, and can be used with other devices.
I really dislike people complaining about stupid things.

I am not mad at CD Baby like I was at iTunes. I agree with Alejandra, that iTunes failed to promote the single as they should have, especially since they had it EXCLUSIVELY.
I have bought all of Steve and Jim's CDs from CD Baby and have always had excellent customer service. When I had a problem with a CD, they took care of the problem IMMEDIATELY and were very courteous about it. Jim was the one who recommended CDBaby when I asked which method of purchasing his CD was most beneficial to the artist.
I've had several problems with iTunes not working properly, and because they are so HUGE, you can't get a personal response and assistance like you do with CD Baby.
Plus, I don't like the fact that iTunes purchases will not work on other personal music devices.

Whatever You Like WAS NOT available on other sites for the first 2 weeks...remember??

Were you able to purchase a DRM-free version of "Whatever You Like?" I certainly wasn't able to get one from iTunes.
And yes, I DID end up buying it AGAIN from Zune Marketplace, so that I could play in on other devices.

I don't think that is a stupid thing to complain about...
