ok, first of all, NOT everything is 24/7/365. With the exception of two stations (anybody going to Harlem after the show? If not, don't worry about it), every station always has SOMETHING stopping there in at least one direction, but track work starts at 11PM which sometimes causes section of line to get shut down. And there are a bunch of busses that stop running at a certain point at the night, but I hardly ever ride busses in Manhattan so I don't have the schedules memorized. Doublecheck at mta.info .... since the show is supposed to start at 8, and from what I've heard there aren't any opening acts this tour, it should finish up before anything gets disrupted.
and for the record, there is NOTHING wrong with riding the subway alone at any hour of the night, particularly within Manhattan. It's no longer the 80s, jeez!
the excitement is just now sinking in, 24 hours before the show, that I'm finally getting to see the SOL tour, after more than 4 years without seeing Al! And third row too, which are some of the best seats I've ever had (thanks Rachael!). Should be a fun night!!

I'm very curious to see what the NYC crowd's reaction will be to the New Jersey line in I'll Sue Ya.
Still can't believe I'll be sitting front row! From what I gather from the seating chart, I'll either be directly or just to the left of Al's mic, so let's hope my pictures turn out good!

Simmer down. Excuse me if some of us around here are concerned about our fellow fans' safety.

So I asked Bermuda about a tentative meet and greet, and got the following:
As I tell everyone who asks, there's no guarantee that an open meet & greet will happen after any given show, and we never know in advance.
I'd like confirmation from someone who has been to an Al/Beacon show in the past and has attended its meet and greet. If that's not possible, take this for what it's worth:

My friend used to work right across the street from the backstage at the Beacon. I used to work with her, and used to look out the window to see everyone's busses parked across the street. We saw Willie Nelson walking around one day. The busses should be parked on 75th st on the left side of the theatre (if you're looking at the front)
I'm not sure of its status or location, but this was also pointed out:

From what I heard there might not be one. I heard there will be some record people that'll be keeping them busy after the show ...

Yep, he heard that from me, and I heard that from a pretty reliable source, so yeah... I'd caution against getting your hopes up for this show regarding a meet and greet.
By any chance does anybody know? Dave?

I agree, that was uncalled for!

And I've had enough of your NYC bashing! 56 people have been murdered in NYC this year (a RECORD low for the last 50 years), and only THREE of those were within the subway system. Theoretically, they'd be safer riding around on the subway all night than waiting around in an alley to see if the band decides to do meet and greet.
Just sayin'

That wasn't NYC bashing, that was one person merely being concerned about someone's safety. I see nowhere in there a bash at NYC, so please next time, think before you post!

Considering the crowd at the PNC in NJ went wild when Al did his line about New Jersey in "I'll Sue Ya", I'm sure many will respond like-wise (since some of us are crossing the bridge to be there). As someone on this list mentioned, we all gloried in our "suckitude".
I pretty much spent a lot of time at my seat at the PNC, don't think I'll make that mistake this time.
Definitely looking forward to this. Hope to find some of you ...
