Thanks! That's the first time I've experimented with "shaping" my poetry. I'm a poet IRL, but I can't help but be inspired by AL quite a lot, so I post my Al poems exclusively here (no one else would care!) I have a book of poetry coming out later this year, but I couldn't fill it full of Al poems, so I just put him on the list of people I dedicated the book to.

Weird Al's over there
Hawaiian shirt are what you wear
Little Nina's your heir
Your eyes are now bare
To be stupid, you dare
At the Orange County Fair
You might like a pear
In your songs, you don't swear
But sing about hardware
Oh, no one can compare
You to anything, especially a bear.

Ode to Al 7

“Whoa, that’s a loud Hawaiian shirt;
It makes my eyeballs really hurt!”
“What’s that noise, an accordion squeeze?”
Non-AL-fans must suffer from thoughts like these.
How awful it must be to not be his fan.
A guy who hates Al must be one humorless man.
But I and Patti and Manda and Bobbi and the rest,
We’re lucky to realize AL is the best.
We live in the WOWAY, which relieves our stress,
And our boy provides plenty of true happiness!
So here’s to AL Yankovic, whom we mean by “our boy,”
A true bringer of laughs and a spreader of joy!
