Man, Dick's Automobile is completely like Albuquerque. I hate to say it, but I think Al's funniest song was inspired by some guy I've never heard of...

It depends on whether we have expidition treaties with the North Pole, or not.
Nice piece of research, Jim. It'd make a great entry in an ALcyclopaedia.

Hey Vrach Papa, how come those lyrics are on the Ukrainian web-site? Hope you're not involved into political events over there!
And about the song... well, it sure DOES have similarities, those that you Doc stated above, but nothing else. - the whole point of both songs are radically different. "D'sA" just doesn't have this "sense of a meaning and meaningles of life" (as my American friend once said) as Al's song, it's just a musical retelling of a South Park-like gross story. I haven't heard the music though, but lyrically, Al's song is 1) funnier; 2) funnier and 3) funnier.

Unless you talk about the Extra Gory Version! In that case, he's dead!

In the Biggest Ball of Twine in MN, "Al" and family arrive at 7:47 as the sun was setting in the MN sky. I looked it up, and that happens twice a year -- April 4 (if it's after DST goes into effect) and Sept 2.

Hmm...that's strange, because I get the feeling that the trek to the Twine Ball was a summer vacation. I suppose it could have been a late-summer vacation. September 2nd could have fallen on a weekend.

Yeah, I'm thinking Labor Day is a good time of year for a Twineball vacation. Although, Darwin, MN (home of the Twineball) celebrates Twineball days the second weekend of August.

Schools usually don't get back in session until the week after Labor Day, I believe, so they still would be on summer vacation. Also, the song makes it sound like they were the only ones there, or there were few others there, meaning it probably wasn't during Twineball Days.
