I wonder if Em's sales have increased since the release of PH.

I came thisclose to buying 8 Mile. Then sanity resumed.

WHY? Why did you want to buy 8mile? Oh...

He did that great parody of Purple Rain. What was it, 8 Mile? I loved that movie!
Work, is play. Tofutti break today.

Well... um... It looked like it might be a good movie. I did mention that it was a moment of insanity, didn't I.

I think I'll probably just rent it. :lookround:

It is a decent flick actually, but only Eminem fans will remember it for years to come. Me, one veiwing was enough.

(And it's not family veiwing! Just want to throw that out now)

Our family rented it a week ago. I walked out of the room.

I wasn't even tempted to go see 8-Mile. I heard a summary that said, "Rapping his way out of the ghetto", raised an eyebrow, and didn't give it a second thought.

Then again, I don't see too many movies.

"Rapping his way out of the ghetto"

Wasn't that also the plot of "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo?"

Well, no me neither. But in researching Couch Potato I have gained a grudging admiration for Eminem. There. I said it. I don't like his schtick, but he is a talented guy, and what can I say... after seeing the video, I would kinda like to see the movie.

Thanks a lot, Al. Like I needed to like Eminem. Oy.

"Admiration" is probably too strong a word. Substitute " I don't hate him as much as I used to even if he is an egotistical poo head who won't let Al do a video."

So, "like" is probably too strong a word too.

If you've seen "Rocky", then you've pretty much already seen "8 Mile". Replace Sly Stallone with Marshall Mathers, and boxing with "rap battles", and you've got Em's movie.

Come to think of it, that's a very good description.
