I just got 2 tickets! one for me(huge AL fan since way back) and one for my son who's turning 13 two days after. He doesn't know he's going yet but has been begging to go several times a day every day for a week now! I'm new in here and apologize if this is a stupid question but, Is there a meet and Greet? I would gladly pay for my son to meet Al! He's such a big fan he wants to take accordian lessons!

Al doesn't do paid meets at concerts. Unless it is through a sponsorship program that the theater has set up. However, as far as I know, Akron Civic does not have one.

I would expect that there is a very good probability that Al will meet at this show. As I had posted earlier in this topic, the bus is easily accessible. Al usually does meets at the bus when time is available, and it is feasible with the access to the bus. Both of these should apply here, although they may want to travel after the show quickly to a city to spend the off day in(this happens occasionally), since as of right now there are no concerts scheduled the day before or the day after.

It's all based on time available, but there is no penalty toward waiting...even if there isn't.

Jeremy is right about no paid meet & greets on Al's side. The only exceptions have been when the venue does it as a perk for their high-dollar season-ticket holders or when there's been a charity auction. I hope your son gets lucky! And of course the more concerts you go to, the better the chances. :D

I'm so excited! Didn't get to see Al and the guys at all last year, so my second row, middle-ish seats are going to be awesome!!!

My uncle messaged me on facebook this morning becuase he said he saw on the news that Weird Al threw out the first pitch at a baseball game in Akron. But I think Al was supposed to throw it out last night but couldnt, it seemed the game was postponed. But it did say on the Akron Aero's website that he would be throwing out the first pitch.

Oh how i wish i lived closer to the venue. But its about 4 1/2 hours away from me so thats a bit of a drive for me. Hopefully a Cincinnati date gets added at some time. But i sure wouldnt blame him for not coming back here after the bad turnout last year =(

Wow, that would have been cool to see! I'm glad that it got postponed, though, as I came home for a day instead of heading to Akron. Would have hated to have missed it.

Wish you could make it, too, cg. Al's Ohio shows are always some of the best!

Someone on twitter must be messing with me, then. He said Al was on Fox 8 Cleveland this morning, and they showed him at the game.

Here's the link from the appearance on Fox 8 Cleveland this morning:http://fox8.com/2012/05/08/things-get-weird-for-kenny/

Didn't say anything about the game on the part posted online.

Oh maybe he got to throw the pitch. I didn't see anything on the teams website actually showing him throw it. All I saw was it saying he would be doing it and then I saw it was postponed because of the rain last night. So maybe he did an they are just slow at updating their website
