I'm always up for some food....don't know about Al. :P

Probably too early to call on this one, but I'm certainly game for another show. Hopefully two....so the niece'll stop bugging me about how she didn't get to go. Bring her to one, and get one myself :P

Ugh, if Al skips over Connecticut again this tour, I'm going to be really angry about it. I'm not sure how much input he has on where he's booked, but seriously, on the last leg he stopped in Boston, and New Hampshire, and now he's stopping AGAIN halfway in between the two! Seriously, cut me some slack Al, I love ya, but I don't have the time, energy, or patience to drive 2 and a half hours to see you.

Why don't you contact some likely venues in CT and ASK them to book Al?

I don't think it works that way?

It certainly can't hurt, and I do think that it may help.

Call the venue (or check their website) and find out who is in charge of booking the shows there. Send that person a nice email describing what a great show Al puts on, how funny it is, that it's family friendly and appeals to all ages, that he has a recent album and 2 Grammy nominations this year, etc. If he's been there before (like The Oakdale in Wallingford, or The Bushnell in Hartford) mention it and say how great it would be to have him back. Be sure to tell them how much you enjoy their venue ;)

Give them a link to weirdal.com, and perhaps a link to a nice review of a recent show.

This approach seems to have worked for me with 2 venues in my area. If they don't book him this year, they might do it next year.

I don't think we realize just how seat-of-the-pants and impromptu those booking decisions can be sometimes. Al got booked into the Golden State theater in Monterey CA because a fairly low-level employee talked her boss into giving Al a try (I talked to her, and she told me about it). So if you want Al in your city, ask. You never know where the tipping point will be.

I was on Al's website looking at the tour dates, and when I saw That he was coming to Massachusetts, I though I had a attack. I was ( and still am) hoping to go to this show, since lowell is a mere.... 1 hour, 32 minutes and 84 miles from my residence.

I still might get to go.. I'm still prayin'!!

He's actually coming to Hartford, spmahn. Check the dates.

I've got an extra ticket for this show that I would like to sell... 4th row, left center section.
$60, plus the cost of shipping it to you (which is less than what I paid from the Weird Al presale).
Any takers?

Wow- this may be my lucky day!

I have 2 seats( Left Center C 113 & 115) for my sister & I and was looking for one more ticket for son #2.
I am going to confirm he will really be in NH (and home from U.Pitt) that night and get back to you ASAP.
Looks like you have a buyer!
