1. Off the Deep End - This has some of Al's best material. Best lead single too. All of the songs are hilarious, even the lower-key ones (like Airline Amy) are still really fun.
2. Dare to Be Stupid - This was my first album, so I'm very nostalgic about it. Yoda is amazing as is Like a Surgeon.
3. Running With Scissors - I remember hearing about this album a LONG time ago. Also, any time you do a Star Wars parody, you can't go wrong.
4. Alapalooza - Brings me back to a good, fun time in my life. I'm a huge RHCP fan, Queen fan, Aerosmith fan and Jurassic Park fan, so this one was awesome.
5. Bad Hair Day - Classic Al, and easily in the Top 5 fo' obvious reasons.

1. Straight Outta Lynwood - Most consistently solid album all the way through. A couple mediocre songs (WSD & DICYO) don't detract at all from the excellence of everything else on the album.

2. In 3-D - Amazingly, this has held up better over time than any other 80s album.

3. Even Worse - My first album, still brings me back to the day I first heard Al's music. Really solid all the way through.

4. Off the Deep End - The combination of grunge with teen pop helps this album encapsulate the time period perhaps better than any other album. And this has some of the best originals he's ever done (WIWYA, AA, YDLMA)

5. UHF - I don't know what it is. The originals are solid. The parodies are hit and miss. But the album really flows nicely, better than most for some reason. This just beats out "Poodle Hat" which would be in the top five if it had a decent lead parody.
