The track number would be kind of short, but a Polkas album seems like a compilation I could see being made.

Al has done 12 officially released polkas. How exactly would the track list on an all polka release be short?

A polka album just isn't realistic considering the royalties involved. A fun mix for fans to make perhaps (although I have a feeling it might get a little grating after 3 or 4 tracks) but that's it.

Yeah, considering that there are about 12 artists on 12 songs, there are about 144 royalty "slots." Al would get about 12 of these, so for every album, he'd be making 8.3% royalties off of the entire album (as opposed to the statutory rate of 9.1% per SONG)!!

I guess it wouldn't, but I took a long break from Al's music and sorta forgot the number of the Polkas he had. Blame the Residents. :p
