I think this is the first interviewer I've ever heard who dug deep enough to find the Volcano Worshipers. Really excellent. And it gave Al a chance to do something other than repeat the boilerplate.
Rich boy, maybe not so much if you look at what's happening to property values! But at least 3 of the houses are actually being used. Don't know about the fourth, figuring out what to do with the house your parents passed away in has to be a tough call.

If it were my property I'd be renting it out via a third party housing agency. I doubt it is standing empty
Have to say that considering the interviewer chose to "go there" with a couple of jaw dropping questions, it was a pity he then proceeded to constantly interrupt Al and throw him off his train of thought.

In terms of truly revelatory interviews where the Weird Al act is fully stripped and it's just Al Yankovic you're hearing from, William Shatner was probably better at letting Al get his full story out there. But I think Chuck Klosterman here was trying to get to some truths about Al that perhaps not even us, his biggest fans, had thought of before. This is really good interview material, even if he interrupted Al a couple of times. It got Al to go on the record with some pretty interesting insight that I hadn't heard before. Chuck Klosterman has famously done this with many celebrities and pop stars while he worked for SPIN Magazine. I would love to read a subsequent article from Chuck Klosterman now in which he expanded on his thoughts about what Weird Al means and what its ramifications are. He's been mentioned in Chuck's books at least a couple of times.

He probably owns his parents house but maybe family lives in it so the house can just be in the family.
