"Poodle Hat" probably really has nothing to do with the studio name, but I'm just as glad Al didn't name any earlier album after his earlier digs. As an album name, "Santa Monica Sound Recorders" just doesn't have the sidesplitting quality we've come to expect from a Weird Al creation.
