How's the theater out there? Anyone know?

I didn't really get to search the website, only saw that it listed every seat as $50. Last time I was in Lancaster for a concert it was at another venue so we went straight there as time was a factor.

The theater is really nice. I've been to one of their Christmas shows as well as a Billy Joel/Elton John tribute thing called Rocketmen. (Yeah, it was as cheesey as it sounds, haha) Actually, I'm in a singing group at my school, and we opened up for the Christmas show one time back in December. It's crazy to think that Al is going to be playing on a stage that I once sang on. Ahh!!

That doesn't sound too bad then. I've been to some places where you buy an expensive seat and you're practically all the way on the other side of town.

Rocketmen may have been cheesy but it had to have been a boatload cheaper than the real thing. I'd have gone to that.

Yeah it was this weird theatrical performance done to the music of Billy Joel and Elton John. There was like dancing and costumes everything. That may be something you're into, but it was just a bit square for my taste. :P

Oh. I was picturing something else. In that case, no thanks. But a few friends and I may head out for Al. They're back in town for a few weeks.

A question for you local folk.

I'll be flying in to Philly and probably renting a car to drive to Lancaster. Any inside tips for a decent place to stay over and things I shouldn't miss seeing?
Looking for a clean room that won't break the bank. Would like to spend 2 nights to do some sightseeing.
Even though I drive across the state (New Hampshire to Pittsburgh) more than I wish as son #2 is at @ U Pitt, I've never been in this part of Pennsylvania.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Going to this show. Love Lancaster. Actually, stopped through before heading to New Brunswick for the start of this tour. So, it'll be nice to see a show there. Keep adding to a new city I've seen Al in for Pennsylvania.

Well I already booked the hotel so now the issue is getting tickets. Looks like a great theater. Looking forward to a relaxing couple of days and one of the first shows of the new tour.
