They sold a music video that you could watch for free online? That doesn't sound like a good marketing ploy whatsoever.

I think the JibJab animators just got lazy.

Maybe part of the song didn't fit the scheme of their little storyline so that part of the song got the hatchet, or maybe thats what Al gave them to work with in the first place
