Man, it was amazing!

Setlist was almost identical to the 2010 one, but no I'm in Luv Wit Da Skipper. The seats we go were absolutely fantastic - enough to make me seriously annoyed at the very strict "no cameras" policy. But, what are ya gonna do? The mixing wasn't great though - for at least the first half the lyrics weren't very intelligible over the drums. It got better though. YP had Charlie Sheen's "Winning" shirt which got a huge laugh. And there were stormtroopers for TSB who seemed to get into it and have a good time.

After the show there was a line, seriously, hundreds of people long waiting for autographs, so we were all very pleased when he stayed to sign for (I assume) all of them, even though security were getting a bit antsy about it. I sat nearly at the back of the line thinking of all these cool things to say to him, but when I finally got to the table all I did was politely introduce myself. Damn. :( I felt kind of bad asking for two signatures instead of one, too, but I kind of got swept up in the moment, you know?

Anyway, it may not have gone perfectly to plan but I can say I've met one of my heroes now, so that's something!

Agreed, a great show! Such a shame that the QPAC staff were such Camera Nazis! I cant remember ever having issues taking pics with a phone or the like at any other venue.

I was close to the end of the line too and Al looked exhausted by the time I got to him. I was polite, got my UHF DVD sleeve signed and asked for a photo but security yelled at my girlfriend and told her to take it while Al was signing...so I got a pic of me smiling and the top of Al's head :P

It was a nice bit of karmic revenge for the camera thing when one of the ushers got thoroughly embarrassed during WBUL.

Forgot to mention, I totally got splashed during SLN! So much fun!

It's okay, I've met him three times and I still haven't said anything of substance to him as yet. Who knows, maybe by the fourth or fifth time I'll be lucky and feel relaxed enough to actually try having a chat with Al.

My tenth meeting was when I was finally really comfortable talking to him.

I vary - the first few times I actually think I conducted myself well, but the last two times I saw Al I feel like I was awkward about it. I do much better when I have some subject in mind to bring up in advance.

The first time I met Al I was so speechless. I was 10 and it was my first ever concert. The next meeting, a year later, I was able to speak to him. But it was only, "I can't believe I'm talking to you." Al said, "Yeah, I can't believe it either! How'd that happen?!" The third time I got to meet Al was in Akron, OH...when I got my personalized Lakers-Yankovic-27 jersey signed by him. I just felt cool at that one, and Al even made that better by complimenting me so much on the jersey...and saying how cool he thought it was. That was my 4th show.

Now, I'm sure it's obvious that I'm not nervous at all because I get to see Al so much. Although, I've never lost the excitement when I find out that he's going to sit on the bus steps or decides to meet fans or even when I pick up backstage passes from ticket windows. When I lose that excitement, it's time to stop going.
