Not exactly the most controversial stance, though I suppose there are many fans on this forum and elsewhere who will be offended somehow.
It's hardly even a "political" stance to begin with, since the issue boils down to "equality" vs. "ICKY LESBIANS ARE AIRBORNE AND CONTAGIOUS AND YOU'LL MARRY A GOAT NEXT I JUST
KNOW IT!"
Which side would ANY of us rather be on, in the long run? The side that believes humans are worth equality, or the side that believes it's natural to marry goats?

His eyes really stand out in the one that is just him. He has very pretty eyes.

Right but isn't that because Al doesn't discuss politics in his music? I mean if he is explicitly endorsing a political position, we should at least be able to say as much. What exactly in minnick's post that you just quoted is taking things too far?

I was just applauding Al for not hiding his views. While it may seem that this is showing my own views, that wasnt my intention at all.

I wasn't quoting his as going too far. Just the opposite. He went about as far as I want to see the discussion go.
The reason we don't discuss politics and religion is that it causes arguments. Obviously this is a dividing issue, or there wouldn't have been a law passed and overturned out in Cali. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this forum is not the place to discuss it. There are many many many outlets for that online.
So, again... please limit your discussion to the photos themselves, or I will delete everything from this topic except the photos and lock it.
I'm not saying anyone has done anything wrong, I just want to make the standard clear before the line is crossed.

Obviously this is a dividing issue
Forgive me, but I don't see any posts here arguing
against Al's stance yet. We all seem to be in agreement, for now at least, so what's the harm?
Once that stops being the case, by all means do what you gotta do.

As long as no one starts discussing the merits (or lack thereof) of Proposition 8, we should be fine. But discussing Al's public on-the-record political stances would seem to be something perfectly reasonable to do on a Weird Al forum.

pretty interesting pictures for al, it seems. but i don't understand why they have ducttape over their mouths. do those in support of gays have nothing to say, or is just some sort of shock-and-awe type identification with the campaign?
