This whole shout-out for a collaboration sounds to me like Snoop has finally figured out that sharing royalties on a song that goes platinum is perhaps not such a bad thing after all.

True. It's not so bad.
Plus, I'm certain at this point in Snoop's career, he's made all his money, gets bored sitting around all day. Probably sitting there one day, thinking, "Well, what else is there LEFT to do?"
Then again, how he came to think of AL of all people is probably the better discussion. Seems like a knock against Al, which it's not supposed to be. Then again, I never thought I'd see Snoop on Martha Stewart, and yet, there he was.

Snoop Dogg is a voice on GPS systems now. He has redefined the very concept of "selling out" and I love him for it. When Snoop appeared on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart's first question was "Remember when white people were afraid of you?"
"Selling out" is a meaningless concept anyway. Nothing wrong with taking money from people willing to give it.

Yeah I'm with Fred. Snoop is self-aware and that makes it okay.

I'm not against anyone 'selling out.' Hell, let them make their money. Hell, Snoop made a country song, so that's it right there.

In a world of ClearChannel, MTV without the M, and the like, you have to sell out to SURVIVE, man!
