Tickets in hand, hotel booked. I'm ready, what are we waiting for, Al?

Yeah, we're waiting for Al. He has to go make some other people happy first.
I bought my plane ticket for Portland while I was waiting for my flight in Orlando. It had gone down $50 since I checked last. Sweet!

If you insist.

Sweet indeed. Did it offset that St. Pete ticket?

Oh, the St. Pete ticket was offset before I got there. If I hadn't gone to the show, I'd have had to get a hotel somewhere or other before flying home Monday. But I stayed with Nancy, and she wouldn't let me pay anything. So I got a free night's lodging at a spiffy hotel (much spiffier than the econobox one I probably would have chosen for myself), good company and half a concert. A whole concert would have been preferable, but at least I can tell myself that I tried to see the Everglades (well, technically I did, from the roadside).

Leaving tomorrow to go to Portland!

This is going to be a fun trip. Hanging out with a couple of long time friends, and a new one (can't wait to meet Nancy) all of us WAY fans. Taking in a fun concert. I'm mostly spoiler free on the setlist, well as much as is possible since I have looked at various photos and some songs you just can't mistake. Hoping for, but not counting on, a meet and greet. Band hugs would be awesome. I will try to post a review, but I'm sure AIH will kick in well before Fun Zone does, so it may be fairly incoherent.

I admit, I'm hoping to see Al and/or band too (besides onstage of course) because I just took another look at the tour schedule and my only other possibility for a bus-side is looking rather remote. Al greeted after the Majestic Ventura Theater show last time he was there, but this time they're playing in Arcata the next day, so my guess is it will be pile into the bus ASAP and drive all night.

We got to see him at both Oregon shows last time, so who knows?

The next show after Portland is Manitoba. Can I hope they're flying?
