I was thinking of going to this show, but not at those prices. Unless they announce more CA dates, I guess I'll just have to settle for Costa Mesa & Sacramento this year.

I went ahead and got two tickets for this show, even though the fair in Lancaster is an awful place to visit in August. They're pretty affordable through the Antelope Valley Fair website, and you can choose your own seat, which is nice. I got aisle seats in row 13 for $27.50 each including the ticket fee.

I've been distracted by silly diversions like trying to get a mortgage [still in process]. I did get onto the fair's site and Greg and I will be in the second row WAAAAY over on Jim's side, seats 57 and 58.
Cheers, Diva
where are my priorities?

Bad news: this show is going to be shortened to only two hours!

What do we think will be cut from this show? You can't really shorten the video clips...Maybe only 1 Alternate Song and Wanna B Ur Lovr cut?

Huh, this is the only show so far (this year) that Al's set has been shortened by the venue.
Now, I think to get the show back down to two hours, he'd need to cut somewhere around fifteen minutes of the show. "Wanna B Ur Lovr" easily cuts out most of that time including the video clips before it. I'm thinking the Frank's/You Make Me rotating spot will be cut.

Seems like a pretty reasonable guess. Maybe Skipper Dan instead of one of the rotating songs? Just because I would think he would pick two costume-based songs in order to help him cut down on the time when you include the video clips.

If Al's deciding on a self-interest basis, he should cut DTBS. Antelope Valley is HOT. The band would thank him for that.

Aw, man. The AV in AV Fair stands for Antelope Valley?? All this time I thought Al was celebrating the profession of Audio/Visual Specialists like myself.

You will just have to hug the "AV Club" shoutout in White & Nerdy to your bosom and content yourself with that.
