I remember, when I first got into Al in 8th Grade, I decided to go get some of his albums at a used CD store since I didn't have oodles of money to spend on new CD's. I found a Scotti Bros. copy of OTDE and GHv2 and a copy of Poodle Hat (Needless to say, I worn them out pretty quickly). Thanfully, my copy of OTDE has "Bite Me"! And I got my copy before I even knew about the song! (My copy of Nevermind also has "Endless, Nameless" Double Yes!)caseyk27 wrote:I still hope to find a used Scotti Bros. Edition of OTDE at FYE or the Pearl Street Mall since I've also heard the the Volcano Editions cut off "Bite Me." Can anyone confirm this? The only place I read it was on Wikipedia.
Wait, did you also happen to buy ALL your albums from weirdal.com?Orthography Enthusiast wrote:I bought all my albums after 2002, so those would be the Volcano ones, right? And I definitely have "Bite Me." It's caught me by surprise twice while I was driving.
My original info came from Amazon and FYE. Since then, other retailers have confirmed that they've become unavailable. Whether or not someone just copied the info I posted here and on my site onto Wrongapedia, I dunno.weirdojace wrote:Is there an official source that says Polka Party and UHF are out of print? Wikipedia isn't official, people. I won't believe until I know where that info is coming from.
They might if those albums haven't sold well. There has not been any official word on the reasoning, but the fact that both "Polka Party!" and "UHF" have yet to go Gold after two decades probably had something to do with it.Record labels don't typically just stop printing essential albums in a well known artist's catalog...
