I'm Not Going To Al-fest

I'm not going. I thought I was going to be able to go, but we just don't have the money.

Hey, there. I'm Patti, and I can't go, either. Money is tight, plus, there is no way hubby would let me hop on a a plane and fly to California for a Weird Al Fan convention. I think he let me go to AlCon III, because he knew I needed to do something positive to ease the pain of losing my daughter, Laura, who passed away a month before. Plus, AlCon III was in Chicago, My friend Dawn drove me there.

We'll get through this together.

Alas, I can't go either. I owe too much money to too many people. I would even have the possibility of free room and board(well mostly anyway) with a friend in San Diego and I still can't go! However, if I win the lottery between now and AlFest I'm in!

I'll even be traveling to the West Coast earlier that week, but need to come back a couple of days before due to prior commitments. Talk about Close But No Cigar...

I''d like some sort of title. Maybe Chancellor of Right Place/Wrong Time?

I'm not going because I live a million miles away from this event and can't afford it anyway. Pity me.

Wish I could've been one of the performance acts but my friend Dino-Mike had to back out because his songs were "too dirty" (they're really not) and if they say that about his songs, I'm afraid to know what they'd think of mine.
