Thats gotta be the best article on Al I've read in a long time. And I loved seeing alternate lyrics for WaN.

That was a really great article. The alternate lyrics for W&N were really cool to see.

I think I might decide to be mildly offended by that Dave!

No, no. All the ushers were white-haired old ladies in their 70s. That's all I meant.

Anyway. That was a great article, and very well written. The writer had a very good descriptive voice, and it was good to see him research it and include quotes from people such as Mr. Folds and Dr. Demento.

That was a fantastic article-- very thoughtful and with such enthusiasm behind it. Thank you, Brian Raftery, for coming up with such new (to me) gems as Al's high school valedictory speech and his comments about hoping Suzanne would turn out to be cute.
Yankovic employs so many costumes and hairpieces during his shows that a makeshift dressing room must be set up directly behind the stageĀa sort of musical-parody triage unit.
Brian has a delightful way with words. I've bookmarked this article, and hope it sticks around for a long time. What a lovely tribute and retrospective of Al's varied and colorful career. Cheers.

Al now has the article linked to his myspace. I agree, wayword. The writer had quite a way with words, and we found out some things we didn't know before.
Cheers, indeed.
