Ok, so some of us write fan fics and/or have cat(s), and some of us don't write fan fics, and don't have cats, or have just one cat. This does not make us frightening. Whoever said Al is not attractive is the one who is frightening.

Well, if you didn't write yourself into the fic as a Mary Sue who successfully pursues Al... I'd say no, no creep-out.
