Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

So in conclusion, we can pretty much agree that the DVD is the better version in every instance? I mean, if it's from the same source, with no lost information, plus special features... there's nothing special about a VHS unless you like the sound of the tape heads spinning, and the VHS fuzz, and the feel of the tape rewinding.

And that annoying blue line across the top... >:S

I most defiantly prefer DVD...

My Mom is always calling UHF "VHS" ... yeah...
Oh snap!

I'll make screengrabs to show you what I am talk about, and possibly a video if I can convert it to DVD.

Or if you're a cheap bastard.
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

Okay. The movie was shot in fullscreen, then cropped for widescreen.

Now could you post some screengrabs of the DVD's fullscreen option, to prove that THAT version is cropped even further?
Just gonna stand there and watch me burn...that's alright because I like the way it hurts...

But look at the Indy parody one again. You gain and loose picture in full and in widescreen, but in different ways. That is what I was saying earlier, it is done a lot in the movies.

for some reason, a very small black bar was added to the widescreen on top of the normal bars, so the full screen has very little extra stuff on the top or bottom

This is the ONLY time you gain in the fullscreen DVD:
