My close personal friends, Seth and Willie Fred are currently attempting to be the opening act for Al.

The answer is simple: Al opens up for Al, thus more Al concert for everyone.

Hee hee!!!!

I would probably be way to anxious to fully enjoy an opening act... but then again its better than getting up and walking down in front of the stage every two seconds to see if that dude in the corner is Bermuda, deciding it isn't, see another guy, think its Al, walk down to the stage again, find it isn't, walk back to seat... think you see Jim...

Ok, maybe an opening act WOULD be a good idea!!!! :P

After the Sudsy debacle of 03 at The Mann, I prefer no opening act. Plus even Al said that no opening act allows him to perform longer.

Opening act=No Albuquerque

Sudsy was the opening act for 2003 Philadelphia show. I didn't think he that bad. He just wasn't playing to his usual audience. He said something about being asked right before he went on to make sure his set was family friendly then realizing that he didn't have any family friendly material. But he did go out and give it his best shot, and at least he respected the rules.

Now the guy from the infamous 2000 Poughkeepsie Halloween show, he didn't even try. They had to shut off his microphone, and issue an apology.
