Does that mean that if Al's manager starts attracting spelling-challenged fans of his own (hey, stranger things than that have happened in Al's orbit) that they'd be Level-heads?

Looking through some old scans I had on my PC in anticipation for the list I'm putting together, I found this one. I don't remember what specific Dr. Demento show this one's from, but it's one of my favorites.... a misspelled name and song title in one!

Stuck in a closet with Al? Now that belongs in the drool topic...

This list is now ready and up on my webpage. Sorry it took so long, I wanted to scan a few real-life examples before posting.

It's on my webpage, but if you can't find it, private message me and I'll send you the exact URL.

I found it. Eventually. <Hint: Look under What's New...>

* Weird Al Yankonsomething
I kinda think that isn't a misspelling as much as it is someone's attempt at vulgar humor.

Kids don't try this at home. Leave it to the trained professionALs. Same joke done much more cleverly and less disgustingly by someone truly gifted in the subtle art of humor:
Cuz' I'm stranded all alone in the gas station of love and I have to use the self-service pumps.

Speaking of subtlety. What a difference a single word can make, huh? OE already mentioned "You put those pirhanas in my bathtub again." But what about "I mistook him in the dark for a drug-crazed Nazi again." Both lines are mildly amusing. Add the single word "again" and it makes them much funnier.

Yep. Subtle. Now that's a word that most people would not associate with "Weird Al".

I know! But it's just too funny (the pathetic kind of funny) to leave off the list!

One of these days (gotta give everybody time to forget my last effort :lookround: ) I'm going to post a few words on "The Subtle Humor of Weird Al."

Yeah, it's there. Trust me. :choon:

Oh, I agree. That's why I said "most people". The critics and casuAL fans tend to assume that he's wacky, zany, and weird. His publicity machine plays that up, and unfortunately Al does too at times. But he is funniest when he is being smart and subtle, both of which he does very well.

Actually, I like Al best when he's being subtle. The subtleness is what makes his videos watchable over and over again.

Yes, El. And some of the stuff is so subtle that you don't catch it for many many watchings. I am sure there is a ton of stuff I haven't gotten yet.
