I think I might go to this show since the Kings Dominion one has been replaced by the Dunn Performing Arts Center concert. It's about 2 1/2 hours from Radford so I can do that round trip no problem. If I have the money, I might try to do both NC shows.
And there is a date now in DC so maybe we should go take back the White House while we're at it!

Has anyone heard anything recent on this concert? I have been following it since I first heard about it, but Carowinds STILL doesn't list Al coming in August and the Ticketmaster page says that tickets are not on sale yet? What the heck is going on here??

I mean geez Carowinds - there is now less than a month till the show is supposed to be there.....

Well, it's extremely nice of the Paramount Park people to give a heads up on when the tickets for King's Island and Carowinds were to go on sale. However, thanks to Greg and whoever posted about King's Island, I've still been able to get good enough seats.
I got my tickets for this just a few minutes ago, and wound up with..Section B, Row 3, Seats 10-11..so pretty good. Can't wait for this show, I love shows at this park as well!

Thanks so much for letting us know that tickets went on sale! Thanks to you I managed to get my family tickets in Section B Row 4 - this is going to be an amazing show! I CANNOT wait to see it!
Stupid Paramount Parks dropped the ball on this one. They should've let everyone know when tickets were going on sale....I sure hope this doesn't affect the ticket sales and in turn Al's chances of coming back to Carowinds. That would sucketh majorly.

I just got my ticket--Section B, Row 2, Seat 18! I decided to go with this show first instead of the Raleigh concert since the seats were better and cheaper, although I do have to pay park admission which is about 40 bucks but at least I get to go ride the rollercoasters during the day and see Al that night! I still might get tickets to the Raleigh show the next time I get paid, just because I have a better chance at a meet-and-greet there than I do at Carowinds.

Actually, Carowinds is pretty friendly to Meet-N'-Greets. At least, they were during the last tour on Poodle Hat. I had to go through a maze to get to it, but I found it.
Also, why do you have to pay park admission, Ambra? Did you just get the concert ticket? I bought park admission with mine, that was only $10 extra than the regular concert ticket, just in case I wanted to go to the park.
I agree with you ed. They were pretty good abou that the last time around. Glad that you still wound up with good seats, though!

Man, I wish I'd known that about the discounted park admission! I just assumed that you have to pay to get into the park in order to get into the concert areana and when I saw the ticket+park admission, I didn't even check to see if it was discounted! Oh well, I'd planned on spending the day at the park anyway since I've never been, even though it's only 2 3/4 hours from my apartment. I just have to remember that the next time he's in concert there!
Alinite--I'm glad you've had experience with the meet-and-greets there. I may try to catch up with you after the show--I think you're seats are just down the row from where I'm at--since you know what you're doing! I'm going to make some star soaps to give to Al since I'm selling them on behalf of the Star Fund so hopefully, I'll be able to give them to him!
I agree, ed! I don't know what Carowinds was thinking! The concert is 3 weeks from Saturday and they're not only just putting the tickets on sale, they didn't let anyone know at least 24 hours ahead of time! I thought the Innsbrook Pavillion was bad with the 1 day notice they gave for the concert! Maybe they're hoping people who are visiting the park for the day will see he's in concert and decide to stick around for it. Glad you and the family got good seats, though.
