He's a solo artist, the CDs are called "Weird Al" Yankovic, he produces and writes the music the band is really talented but they are there to play the music and appear in some videos and perform at conterts. I wish more people would understand that he has a band though, and they play at concerts.

The point of an album cover is to help sell the recording,and alas, I don't think that pics of the band members would help sell recordings all that much. His band isn't well known by anybody except us diehards, and we're already gonna buy the CD. Also, they're all really good sports about the ridiculous photos Al asks them to appear in, but they probably aren't all broken-hearted about not being in even MORE ridiculous photos. So I guess what I'm tryin' to say is, I'm fine with the band photo(s) just appearing somewhere inside the CD materials.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.
