I just finished watching Al's interview and I will say it's worth it. It's nice to see him not being "On" and getting to talk about things as an artist.

Here's the important stuff

-He comes on about 40 minutes into the first hour (Though he also "intros" the show and there's a quick shot of him walking into the studio, for the completists and Al Gals out there). Coincidentally, he comes on just in time for video #......14 :oo

-They didn't play all of White & Nerdy :stern: Though they did play a good amount of it to fit it into the show (And, for our purposes, enough to get it into the minds of the people who watch the show)

-No mentions of Coolio or Eminem! :whoot: They talk about how Chamillionaire likes the song...but Al does a self inflicted vague mention of them. (This is great, though there's some derision in Al's voice about how it was on Chamillionaire's MySpace before his....but I'm sure that's a non issue now that the songs out and Al got a good amount of promotion from it)

-Video #14 was the OK Go on treadmills video. Not surprisingly, Al loves it (And the band)

-He gets further into a topic in the CD101 interview, that it's harder to find a song to parody. He says how Ridin' was an obvious choice

-He reveals some new production details about W&N

-Matt asks him what Green Day song is being parodied. Al says it's Canadian Idiot....he doesn't want to give away what it parodies  He also briefly touches on Trapped in the Drive Thru (And reiterates his thoughts on the original)

-They talk about the dualdisc and the animated videos. Clips of DDTS, Close But no Cigar and Weasel Stomping Day are shown, although every director is mentioned.

-The interview (With a couple videos mixed in) takes up the entire segmant.

It was a great interview. Pinfield can be annoying (I like him though), but he's no dummy. He's one of the biggest music geeks on the planet and he's not gonna ask the stupid questions we've all become used to (And I've always suspected he's a closet Al fan too). The interview came out exactly like I thought it would.

EDIT: Revealed at the end of the show,W&N is now a listed video for countdown eligibility! So go! Vote!

I just finished taping it, too. Very nice interview! Good to see Al getting some new questions.

I don't see it on the voting page! :( Maybe it doesn't go into effect until the show is supposed to air (hopefully).

EDIT: nevermind, just read on the Top 20 voting page that voting is closed until 11 am EST. That's probably why.

I'm in Connecticut visiting my mom. This morning I flipped on the TV, was channel flipping, get to VH-1 and guess what's playing? :D

A great way to start the day.

Cheers, Diva

I got to see it this morning. I magically happened to switch it on about 1 minute before Al came on. Woo hoo!

Anyway, it will be on here in California again on Sunday morning at 5:00am...

Is it me or is Al's hair shorter and thinner?

I thought the exact same thing! Seemed like his hair was definitely longer on the SOL CD cover. (Maybe my dream about the hair extensions wasn't really a dream at all... )

Don't care how the hair is - or if he even has any...he's AL!!! :)

The countdown will be replayed tomorrow (Sunday) at 8am eastern.

I also see a listing for Monday at 1pm & Tuesday at 9am (would that still be the same countdown?).

Great interview! Good to finally see an interview no be an 'exact' typical Al interview. Got to see White & Nerdy on Fresh before the show, so at least I got most of the video taped. Missed the first part, though, due to not knowing it was coming on.

This was the greatest Top 20 Countdown that I've seen. Al interview, and Brooke finally getting her first #1 video and the top spot.
