Plus, whenever a kids' television show tries to preach that watching TV is bad for you, it always comes off as hypocritical, which is probably why few shows attempt that message.
If it's bad to say that watching television is bad for you, then maybe instead Al could channel hop and find a show that's so interesting that he actually watches it for more than a minute for the very first time, and it could be revealed that if he watches the same program for more than a minute he becomes addicted to it (as long as it doesn't give the idea that watching television has this effect on everybody). Perhaps instead of saying that watching TV is bad for you, Weird Al could have made plans to do things with or for his friends that he chooses not to do because he became too obsessed with watching TV. He culd be too into watching television that he refuses to watch Harvey perform a stunt, refuses to let Madame Judy predict his future, and refuse to answer Bobby's questions (and maybe have Bobby attempt to start a film projector on his own).
I don't think I'd want to see an excersize segment last more than a minute, and unless the people at CBS changed their ways I wouldn't want to see a Fred Huggins episode last as long as a Fatman cartoon (though it would be funny to show a long Fred Huggins segment and have the Boolies question the viewer for watching the show for that long).
