how funny would it be if that actually was what's been holding back the album :P
The tsunami of immediacy will wash away the flood of grief, and reveal a layer of naive optimism underneath

I'm not too pleased with the Editor's note (and even left him a little comment as it were to point out his flawed viewpoint)...but I am REALLY excited about hearing Weird Al's new ALbum now. Imagine! We will get to really hear Al's music the way he wants us to for once...total immersion into Al's unique and imaginative mind. :D YES!
The name is John, but you can call me JD! ^~^

Does this mean I need special speakers or something in order to hear the songs properly?

Visit Elvis' website to read "The Completionist Guide" for accessing all sorts ofWeird Al songs (and sometimes ridiculously miniscule) be it rare gems or ridiculously miniscule from 1973 to 2019. weirdalstar.com/uhf/

They'll be converted to 2 channel stereo for the CD, since that's the CD standard.

The 5.1 surround sound thing is probably gonna be available on the DVD side.

 I thought of that, too, Greg, but couldn't remember the line.

"He's working on it."
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

This is great. 5.1 channels of Al! It's good to see all of the pieces finally falling into place.

Ron Wheeler is dead to me. Wait, who is Ron Wheeler?

I wouldn't let this guy get to you. If you look at the other posts on his blog, there are little to no comments on what he writes. He's pretty much talking to himself online anyway.

At least when I talk to myself on my blog, my wife and brother give me a pity comment. Sad, sad, sad.

My 2 cents... I'd much rather hear a recording with horns and layers of varied instruments do a 5.1 than the typical drums, bass, guitar and vocals of 90% of the bands out there. Especially a band that has played together for so long and has honed a clean, tight sound.

Did you see that guy's response, though!? He called it "music." ¬_¬ Also, he said something like he's a feeble attempt at an artist, blah blah blah. I'm almost tempted to post my anger there. :P
Ron Wheeler wrote: I stand by my piece. Weird Al's "music" should be doomed to the bargain bin of Sears. As for referring to him as an artist.....you can't be serious?!

Incidentally; I expected negative feedback on the Depeche Mode diss....not Weird Al....the hack.

Finally....is anyone actually going to purchase a high-end theater to listen to his poxy attempts at art?
Begone, foul beast!

That's not very nice. <_<

He cuts off some guy's limbs 7 years ago...
Sever your leg, please. It's the greatest day.
