And the Konocti concert review Scotti linked to isn't even the Konocti show where he fell off the stage, holding his accordion.

He's also had some bad weather luck in Kansas City.

And let's not even get on the subject of mayflies. Image

Seva, I'm so glad the concert went well! So, you polkaed down with your bad self, didn't you? ;) That's great!

OE, why did you mention the mayflies if you really didn't want to mention them??

Patti

Who still does not understand why the city of New Baltimore, MI has a Fishfly Festival every year.

Poor Al...I know of the disgusting-ness of fishflies *that's what we call 'em*

Btw, the Fishfly Festival is a week-long carnival, with rides and games and stuff. But why name it after the scurge of the Bluewater area?

If Al ever decided to play a concert out my way, he'd be better off coming here early in the summer.

It sounds like it went great, Seva! :Y :)

Yeah, Al has had a ton of problems...

mayflies, technical problems, weather problems, LOTS of obnoxious drunken people...and does anybody remember giant fog machine monsters... and Al repeatedly falling off the TSB stool?

You're not the only one, Seva! ;)

Thanks! But... drunken people at Al's concert? How's that possible? And what's the fog machine mosters?
And as far as I remember, Elvis once mentioned some concert that went awry. Or am I wrong?
Al is just a hero, not only OUR, but a hero himself. During so much problems throughout his career, he survived. And he's the best!!!

*biting himself because of an impossibility to attend Al's show.*
*probably that's why I'm making my own concerts :P *

Yes, absolutely, there are drunk people at Al concerts, much to the annoyance of those of us who enjoy him just fine without being sozzled. He plays a lot of county fairs, and most of them have a beer concession. And when the weather's hot... well, you can imagine what happens. Even the non-fair concerts often sell beer & wine. And then, of course, he also plays in casino showrooms sometimes. :F

The "fog machine monster" refers to the fog machine they were using for added effect during the second year of the Poodle Hat tour. Lots of times there was so much fog being pumped out that you couldn't see the band and could hardly see Al... so, the "monster" that ate the band.
