I like Al because he's such a talented musician, and very brilliant in every aspect of music. He's also, actually the only "real" musician who cares about his fans, as he'll usually always meet with fans after shows, everyone in the music industry or entertainment in generally is usually not like that. Couch Potato is really the only rap song I know of that doesn't use profanity in it, and he never uses it in any of his songs.

I'm no where near being a teenager, but I am the father of two teenage boys. And I was able to intoduce them this summer while they were visiting to Weird Al Yankovic. All of the reasons that have been listed are great ones ... I can't think of anything to add. However, I know it did my heart a lot of good when my youngest said, "Hey, Weird Al parodied that song ... and I can actually understand the words to HIS" when we heard "Teen Spirit" playing on the radio a week ago. I'd be hard pressed to come up with another entertainer who I'd prefer to have my kids listening and looking up to.

I like him because he makes me laugh, he's an all around nice guy and has a great personality. Al gives me something to laugh at when I'm down.
In the words of Steve Jay "He projects heart. I mean, people love him like a friend, not like a celebrity." He is one of the nicest celebrities. I mean, how many other celebrities do you know will stay after a show and will meet, talk with, sign autographs, pose for pictures, and give hugs to his fans.
Not only that, but he is so brilliant. Listen to the lyric's he uses. He uses lyrics that makes people laugh from age 5 to age 80. Weird Al has been making people laugh for 25 years, and is still doing it.

I don't really have anything to add. Everything was pretty much stated above... He's funny, he's a very talented musician (how many musicians do you know of that can do ANY style of music?), he doesn't use profanity, he has a great sense of humor, he's a nice guy, he always has time to talk to his fans, and is overall a great person to look up to.

First of all, because Al parodies the newest and well known songs in the music scene today.
That way, when teens hear it, they can compare it to the original and laugh more at it than they would while listening to maybe "I Want a New Duck" or "Everything You Know Is Wrong." Second, the music is still funny even without knowing the original song!
Third, because Al doesn't use a lot of bad language in his lyrics, which leads to more audience from adults as well. And fourth, because parents who listened to Al in their time pass it on to their kids, like my dad for instance!
And that's why I think other teens and I like Al so much!

I like Al because he is a clever songwriter and the parodies and originals are extremely funny! What's even more important is that his music helped me to realize how humorous this world really is.
