Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

I saw it too -- it was on this past Thursday night/early Friday morning -- though I saw it NOT on Comedy Central, but on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim [specifically, in the middle of "Family Guy"]! It came on at roughly 11:40 PM EST. I was sitting on my bed doing some paperwork when I heard "Eat It" and looked up to see Al on the TV!!

The commercial was a lot like those infamous "Rock Of The Eighties"-type CD collections commercials, but it was most definitely for TUVC. It showed clips of several of his videos with their names, and said "Call this toll-free number now!!" It was fairly long -- 1 1/2 to 2 minutes long!! :whoot:

By the time I found a blank tape though, it was all over. No matter, I thought, they repeat the entire Adult Swim weeknight block exactly 3 hours later! So I set my VCR for 2:30 AM to 2:50 AM (EST) so as not to miss it. I even remembered the Adult Swim promo that preceded the commercial so I'd know I'd catch it on the tape.

The next morning, I reviewed the tape. I found the section of "Family Guy" I'd remembered seeing before, then the same Adult Swim promo! And then -- uh -- what?!? A commercial for a fondue pot?? I don't remember this. Maybe it was a short commercial beofre Al's that I didn't remember. But it kept going ... and going ... AND GOING ... then finally it ended. AND "FAMILY GUY" CAME BACK ON!! They'd switched commercials!! >:S ;(

Now, the Adult Swim block doesn't come on Friday nights or Saturday nights on Cartoon Network, so it's not been on again. But I'll watch tonight, and the next few nights, so see if it comes on again!!

Glad someone started this topic -- I almost thought I'd hallucinated the whole thing!!

Wow, it must be one great fondue pot to outdo TUVC...
I am gone until June, as a result of the Junior Cert, a very large exam.

They've been airing them for a couple of weeks. Maybe they'll get it to Platnium status.

What I find odd is that they've waited so long after it's already been released to actually start promoting the DVD.

And I watch South Park, The Daily Show, and sometimes Conan O'Brian on Comedy Central all the time and I've never seen this commercial.

I think this DVD has the potential to be a HUGE hit because a lot less people download videos than music.

I saw it again last night at roughly 12:40 AM EST on Adult Swim, though I wasn't ready to record it. >:S Maybe it was a 30 second commercial this time. Now that I know it wasn't a fluke, I'm going to monitor Adult Swim [if I can, maybe tonight] for the first two hours, and maybe even record all the commenrcials. I should be able to get it soon. Anyone else who wants to catch it should probably watch Adult Swim on Cartoon Network too. Anyone else see it? Or anyone else see it on Comedy Central recently?

Oh, and --

Well ... I'd prefer for Poodle Hat making GOLD before TUVC making Platinum.

You realize, unfortunately, that Poodle Hat is the only studio album of Al's [besides Polka Party!] NOT to make at least Gold status. And even after touring for almost a year, the Enimem video controversy, a new ALTV, several TV show appearances, a Grammy award, and recent attention from his parents' tragic death -- STILL NO GOLD??. What is WRONG with people?

Not to get this too far into a Poodle Hat sales rant, though. This thread is probably the best place to do just that.

Hokay, back on topic now ...
Anybody see that commercial recently?? :F

Gee, I watch Comedy Central, and I haven't seen this ad, either. Maybe I'll try watching Adult Swim. I wanna see!

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Give it a few more months. It'll go gold, just not right away. Patience is the key.
