It's not that unexpected, since Dr. D is a musicologist rather than a musician or a singer. But didn't he clap or something on the in-studio recording of AORTB?Elvis @ Jan 21 2004, 10:42 PM wrote: Despite all he's done to launch and further Al's career, it's interesting how Dr. Demento doesn't actually appear on any songs (except two demos).

Yes that's where that took place. There is a pic of it inside Dr.D's 20th anniversary CD set. maybe Dr.D is more comfortable "acting" and talking then being a "musician"...or maybe Al secretly thinks he sucks...AGH what did I just say- Blasphemy! Shame on me. I'll go to my corner now.Elvis @ Jan 22 2004, 03:17 AM wrote: He was in the Disney special too. Al gave him a horsey-back ride. (At least I think it was the Disney special....)

Hey you can get it online.Alucard @ Jan 27 2004, 01:08 PM wrote: dr. d is actually pretty cool--too bad we can't get his show here in CO anymore. I've been debating sending him some music. He personally answers his mail most of the time and actually goes on tour, which is pretty cool I think.

C'mon, Sarley, don't be snarky. There are so many places where Dr. Demento is no longer on the air that it would be a valid question from somebody in this country. And Alberta is from Australia, fer cryin' out loud!
