Oh yeah! That's something I forgot to mention. The audience participation this time was fantastic! I would have sworn that just about everybody was waving their arms during AP. There were a ton of people singing along to all the songs. The Kuni line rang out louder than ever! Everyone chanted "We Want Al" after Fat. Everyone was singing along with Yoda, even the people "way up on the lawn!" And a new one that I haven't seen before, when Al did the big jumps during "Fat" several people bounced out of their seats when Al hit the ground. That was very funny!
I never knew Al had family in Detroit. I wonder who? Glad to hear you had such a great experience Patti! I remember the time I got hit by water! I thought I would never wash again! LOL! Next time Patti, we should plan to meet up and find Marty Lick. If anyone knows how and where to meet Al after the show, it's him.

Steve came out after the show and talked to a few fans. I guess we could've kidnapped him and refused to give him back until Al came out, but I wouldn't approve of that.
One thing I noticed about the concert I thought was strange was when Al sang "One More Minute" and walked up the stairs, some audience members walked up after him and passed him on their way to the bathroom or concession stand or wherever they were going. "Out of the way, performer I paid to see! I need a beverage!"

Bruce the Duck, Dawn and I saw Marty at the ticket booth. We said Hi and I told him we remembered him from AlCon. I don't think we got to talk to him there, but he hosted the trivia contest. Dawn said, "Oh, yeah, that's right" when I reminded her of that. I told him I was the one that did the stand-up, and he said "Oh, yeah. Nice to see you here." He seemed like a nice guy. That's cool he sat near you. I couldn't have waited two hours, I don't think. It sounds pretty much like Al didn't come out, judging by what I just read. It was cool of Steve to meet with fans. We saw him helping out on stage after the show. I wish I had had the nerve to give my stuff to him. That way, I would know for sure that Al got it. I still think he did, but I want to find out. Hopefully, I will soon  . It's too bad we didn't see each other at the show, but it was great, wasn't it? So much fun! I made chocolate Als for everyone sitting with us, and one for the wonderful Lisa, who got us the terrific seats! Me, Dawn, Lisa's sister-in-law, and I think even her niece, were waving our chocolate Als in the air during different songs during the show. It was fun! I'm sure Al must have noticed. Just trying to show him who I was, I guess. hehe, Dawn likes to call me "Chocolate Patti" I like that title! Anyway, glad to hear you liked the show, too! It was fabulous!

My girlfriend's mother took a couple friends of hers to see this show and noted the same thing--her friends were impressed by the crowd (not to mention the guys on stage) and made them shake their heads in disbelief that they hadn't gotten themselves to a show sooner.

Hey Patti,
At the Meadowbrook concert there was a guy dressed in full-costume as Popeye. It was a very elaborate costume, with fake muscles, the whole sailor outfit, pipe, spinach, hat, everything! Did you see him? I can't figure out why someone would dress as Popeye at an Al concert. Al has never even referenced Popeye. What's the connection here? Was this guy just kooky or something?

My wife and I saw the "Popeye" guy as well. I noticed he had some mini "Popye" keychain dolls hanging from his belt and I was wondering if he was selling them or something. Other than that, no clue.
